# Subscription & Refund Policy

*Effective date: July 3, 2026 · redchat is an 18+ adult platform.*

**Operated by:** PowerFan Inc. d/b/a redchat **Audience:** Adults 18+ only (or the age of majority where you live).

Billing questions make everyone a little tense — understandable. So this document lays out, as plainly as we can, exactly what plans exist, what's refundable, how Red Points (RP) work, and how we bill for an adult platform. This isn't marketing copy — it's a **policy document**. What we promise here is what you actually get.

redchat is an **18+ NSFW AI-character chat platform**. Explicit chat and adult AI-generated images are part of the product for verified adults. Because of that, a few billing rules here differ from a general-audience app — most importantly around **age verification, payment processors, and web-only adult purchases**. Please read the Payment Methods & App Stores and Age Verification sections carefully.

## Plans at a Glance

redchat runs on four tiers: **Free, Silver, Gold, and Platinum** — all for verified adults 18+. The higher the tier, the faster your responses, the larger your default memory, the more free daily allowances you get, and the more generous your weekly premium allowance.

**Why this matters:** On every plan, **Default model chat is unlimited**. Higher tiers don't exist to let you "chat more" — they give you a **better, faster experience and a more generous premium allowance**. (On Free, Default chat simply runs at standard speed.)

**Limits worth knowing:**

* The Memory Dial can be extended up to 1M on supported plans.
* Lorebook entries are capped per plan — Free and Silver: 5 entries; Gold and Platinum: 100 entries.
* Response Length controls do not cost Red Points (RP) — they're free to adjust on every plan.

## Billing & Renewal

All charges are billed immediately at the time of purchase. Auto-renewing 30-day plans renew automatically at the start of each billing cycle. Non-renewing passes do not auto-renew and simply expire at the end of their term.

## Upgrades & Downgrades

Upgrading to a higher tier — for example, from Silver to Gold — applies the remaining value of your current plan pro-rata, and your new benefits apply immediately. Downgrading to a lower tier takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle — you keep your current benefits until then.

## Cancellation

You can cancel anytime. **Canceling stops future renewals**, but **the current paid period is not refunded.** You keep your premium benefits until the period you've already paid for runs out.

This is different from an account termination for a policy violation. If we terminate or suspend your account for breaking our Content & Safety Guidelines or Terms (see "Prohibited Content & Effect on Billing" below), **you are not entitled to a refund of the remaining paid period, and any Red Points (RP) balance is forfeited.**

## Refund Policy

**First, take a breath:** a billing hiccup is nothing to panic over. If your situation matches the criteria below, we'll take care of it — and if it doesn't, we'll tell you exactly why.

**Eligible for a refund**

* **Duplicate charges**
* **Technical errors confirmed to be on redchat's side**

**Not eligible for a refund**

* Unused subscription time (remaining period)
* Partial or limited usage
* Accidental purchases
* In-app errors caused by user actions
* Unused or expired promotional benefits
* **Content that was moderated, blocked, or removed, or an account suspended/terminated for a policy or Terms violation**
* **Dissatisfaction with model output, moderation decisions, or age/identity verification outcomes**

**Your statutory consumer rights.** Where the law of your country gives you a mandatory refund or withdrawal right that this policy cannot override (for example, the EU/UK 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers), we honor it. Because RP and premium usage are digital content that is consumed immediately, that statutory window may be reduced or waived once you begin using the service, to the extent the law allows — and any refund is pro-rated for what you've already consumed. **How to request.** All refund requests go through support — nothing is auto-reimbursed. For purchases made through a mobile app store, refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own procedures.

## What Are Red Points (RP)?

Think of Red Points (RP) like a rechargeable transit card: you top it up, and it's drawn down as you use premium features. RP never expires and carries over between billing cycles.

* RP is deducted **once per message** — a send and its reply count as a single charge, not two.
* Before you spend RP on a premium action, the app shows you a **cost estimate** so you can decide before committing.
* You are **never hard-locked** out of chat: Default model chat stays unlimited on every plan even if your RP balance reaches zero. RP only affects premium features beyond your included allowances.

## Red Points (RP) Refund Rules

* RP is a **non-refundable, non-transferable** virtual currency.
* It's deducted the moment it's used and **cannot be restored.**
* The only exception is when a promotion's terms specifically state otherwise.
* If your account is **terminated or suspended for a policy or Terms violation, any remaining RP balance is forfeited** and is not refunded or reinstated.

## Age Verification & 18+ Eligibility

redchat is for **adults only**. To create an account and to purchase or use any feature, you must be **at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if that is higher.**

* **At signup**, you must affirm that you meet the age requirement. Providing a false age is a violation of these terms.
* **Stronger age assurance where required.** Where a payment processor, an app store, or the law of your region requires it, we may apply additional age-assurance steps before you can access adult features or complete a purchase — for example, re-confirmation, or third-party age verification. We may also request further information at any time to verify or re-verify that you are an adult.
* **No under-18 use.** We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register or transact. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we will terminate it and delete the associated data, and **no refund is owed** for a terminated underage account.
* **Account sharing.** Do not share your account with, or let it be used by, anyone under 18.

## Payment Methods & App Stores

redchat is **web-first**, and this is the most important billing section for an adult platform — please read it.

* **Web payments (primary).** All subscription and Red Points (RP) purchases are processed on the web through **specialist payment providers that support lawful 18+ adult businesses**. Depending on your region, that may include card networks routed through adult-friendly processors, alternative rails, and cryptocurrency. These purchases are governed by this policy.
* **Adult content and its purchases are web-only.** Mobile app stores prohibit explicit adult content, so redchat's NSFW features — and any purchase that unlocks them — are available **only through the web**. If we offer a mobile app, it provides a restricted, non-explicit experience, and adult features cannot be bought through in-app billing.
* **In-app purchases, where offered,** are subject to the relevant app store's own billing and refund procedures — you may need to request those refunds **directly from the app store**.
* **We minimize your card data.** Card details are tokenized and handled by our payment processor. redchat does not store your full card number; at most we retain the last four digits and the card type to help you recognize a charge.

*We do not process adult purchases through general-purpose consumer processors that prohibit adult content.*

## Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you believe a charge is wrong, **contact support first** — most billing issues are resolved faster that way than through your bank.

* **Filing a chargeback or payment dispute** (other than for confirmed fraud on your account) may result in **immediate suspension of your redchat access, cancellation of the related subscription or purchase, and forfeiture of any remaining Red Points (RP).**
* **Fraud is different.** If your payment method was genuinely used without your authorization, tell us — we will work with you and our payment processor to make it right.
* **Abusive or repeated disputes** — for example, disputing charges for service you have already used — may lead to **permanent account termination and refusal of future transactions.**
* **Mobile-store purchases** are disputed through the relevant app store, not with us.

## Prohibited Content & Effect on Billing

redchat permits explicit sexual chat and adult AI-generated images **between verified adults and with fictional AI characters**. Some content is **never allowed on redchat, regardless of who created the character or who owns it**, and it is enforced by automated detection plus human moderation. Creating, requesting, or sharing it will result in **content removal and account action, up to permanent termination — with no refund of remaining paid time and forfeiture of any Red Points (RP).**

**Always prohibited (zero-tolerance):**

* **Any sexualization of minors or minor-presenting characters** — including "loli"/"shota," age-regression to a minor, childlike bodies, and school-child scenarios. This applies even to fictional or "aged-up" characters. We treat this as CSAM.
* **Non-consensual sexual content depicting real, identifiable people** — including deepfakes, "revenge porn," and use of a real person's likeness without consent.
* **Content that promotes or facilitates real-world sexual violence, sex trafficking, or sexual exploitation.**
* **Anything illegal** in the jurisdiction where redchat operates or where you use it.

**Other limits (matching common adult-platform practice):**

* **Bestiality involving real animals is prohibited.** Purely fictional non-human species (e.g., fantasy/monster or game-style creatures) are not treated as bestiality.

**Enforcement.** We use automated CSAM detection, human moderation, and in-product reporting. Confirmed child-sexual-abuse material is removed and **reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the relevant authorities.** Because these are safety-and-legal actions, **the billing consequences above are not refundable and are not a service defect.**

To the extent record-keeping obligations such as 18 U.S.C. § 2257 apply only to depictions of real human performers, they do not apply to redchat's fictional, AI-generated characters.

## Payment Data & Privacy

This section covers how billing interacts with your data. Full detail is in our **Privacy Policy**.

* **Payment data minimization.** Your card number is handled and tokenized by our payment processor. redchat does not store your full card number — at most the last four digits and card type.
* **Your intimate content is treated as sensitive.** Chat logs and adult AI-generated images are treated as **sensitive / special-category data**. We apply access controls and encryption in transit and at rest, disclose our retention periods in the Privacy Policy, and let you request deletion, subject to legal and financial record-keeping obligations.
* **We do not sell your intimate data**, and we do **not share your NSFW chat or image context with advertising or analytics partners** whose terms prohibit adult content.
* **Your rights.** Depending on where you live, you have rights under laws such as the **GDPR** (EU/UK) and **CCPA/CPRA** (California), including access, correction, deletion, and portability. Requests go through the contact details below or our Privacy Policy.

## Price Change Notice

We provide advance notice before any price change. The new price applies to charges and renewals on or after its effective date. Any period you've already paid for keeps the benefits you paid for, unaffected by the change.

## Grandfathering for Existing Subscribers

If you're already subscribed to Silver or Gold, you keep your current price plus your loyalty perks for as long as your subscription stays active without interruption. Canceling forfeits this lock-in; resubscribing later means paying the then-current price.
