# Creator Ownership & Content Policy

*Effective date: July 3, 2026 · redchat is an 18+ adult platform.*

redchat is built for adult creators. This page explains what you own, what limited rights redchat needs to run the Services, how content policy applies regardless of ownership, and what happens when you unpublish or delete. It works together with the Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines, the Content & Safety Guidelines, and the Privacy Policy.

## Who Can Create & Own Content on redchat (Adult Eligibility)

redchat is an 18+ adult platform. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if that is higher, to create an account, publish a character, or own content on redchat. At signup you affirm that you meet this requirement, and redchat applies stronger age assurance — for example, additional verification or age-estimation steps — where a payment processor, distribution channel, or applicable law requires it. See the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service for the full age-verification framework.

## You Own Your Creations

You own the original characters, stories, lorebooks, personas, and other content you create on redchat — including adult and explicit content you create within our guidelines. Creating or publishing content, whether safe-for-work or explicit, does not transfer ownership to redchat.

Content you didn't originally create doesn't become yours by posting it. Please respect others' intellectual property, including any source material you draw on for fan-inspired characters (see "Fan Content and Intellectual Property" below).

## The Limited License We Need — Only While Published

While your content is published on redchat, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and promote it solely to operate the Services. This includes showing your character — and any explicit or adult content associated with it — to the verified adult users who chat with it, and featuring it in discovery areas available to verified adults.

This license is limited to running the Services. It is not a transfer of ownership, and it is not perpetual or irrevocable: it ends when you unpublish or delete your content, subject to the narrow exceptions described in "Unpublish and Delete Really Mean It" below.

## Content Policy — What Verified Adult Creators Can Publish

redchat is NSFW-native. Verified adult creators may publish characters, stories, and lorebooks that include:

* Explicit sexual roleplay and uncensored adult chat with fictional AI characters.
* AI-generated adult imagery, including nudity and depictions of explicit sexual activity, involving fictional characters.
* Kink, romance, horror, and other mature or dark themes, within the zero-tolerance limits described below.

There is no "safe-first" default that hides your published adult content from other verified adults. Full detail on what is and isn't permitted lives in the Community Guidelines and the Content & Safety Guidelines; this policy focuses on how ownership interacts with those rules.

Because adult imagery on redchat is AI-generated and does not depict real human performers, record-keeping requirements that apply to producers of visual depictions of actual individuals engaged in sexually explicit conduct (such as 18 U.S.C. § 2257 in the United States) may or may not extend to this content, and redchat reviews and complies with any such requirements to the extent they are legally applicable.

## Zero-Tolerance Categories (Apply Regardless of Ownership)

The following are never permitted on redchat, no matter who creates or claims to own the content:

* Any sexualization of minors or minor-presenting characters, including loli/shota content, "aged-up" characters originally depicted as minors, childlike bodies, age-regression to a minor, and school-child scenarios (CSAM).
* Non-consensual sexual content depicting real, identifiable people, including deepfakes, revenge porn, and use of a real person's likeness without consent.
* Content promoting real-world sexual violence, human trafficking, or sexual exploitation.
* Anything illegal in the jurisdictions where redchat operates.

**Edge categories.** Sexual content involving real animals is prohibited; wholly fictional, non-human species are exempt from this rule. redchat does not separately enumerate family or step-family roleplay between fictional adult characters as a prohibited category, consistent with industry-standard adult-content practices, and any such content remains fully subject to the minor-protection rule above, which always overrides. Full definitions live in the Community Guidelines.

These categories are enforced through the content removal and account action described in "Removal for Policy Reasons" below, independent of a creator's ownership, monetization status, or platform tenure.

## Removal for Policy Reasons

Ownership doesn't exempt content from redchat's rules. redchat may remove or restrict any content — published or unpublished, free or monetized — that violates the Community Guidelines or the Content & Safety Guidelines, including the zero-tolerance categories described above.

This applies with no exception for a character's popularity, the revenue it generates, or a creator's claim of ownership. Content involving the sexualization of minors is removed immediately, the responsible account is terminated, and — where the content constitutes apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the relevant authorities.

## Unpublish and Delete Really Mean It

When you unpublish or delete content — including explicit characters and AI-generated adult imagery:

* It's removed from public discovery, search, and recommendations.
* Your name, profile, and identity are detached from it.
* A de-identified snapshot may be kept temporarily to support existing users' ongoing chats, then removed or anonymized — never attributed to you or presented as platform-owned.
* Limited copies are retained only where required for legal obligations, security, backups, and abuse or child-safety investigations — for example, records preserved to support a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant authorities.

redchat does not keep public characters — including popular adult characters — active after their creator leaves, based on popularity or perceived user importance.

## Fan Content and Intellectual Property

You may create fan-inspired characters, but you must respect the intellectual property rights of others and comply with the Community Guidelines. If redchat receives a valid complaint that your content infringes someone else's intellectual property, we may remove or restrict that content. This applies regardless of whether the underlying character or content is adult in nature.

## We Don't Sell Your Content

redchat does not sell your characters, chat content, or AI-generated adult imagery to third parties without your explicit permission. Because this content is intimate and often sexually explicit, we treat it as sensitive personal data (see Privacy Policy) and do not share it with advertising or analytics partners whose terms prohibit adult content.

redchat does not use your private chats or the adult images generated in them to train AI models that serve other users unless you explicitly opt in. Where you opt in, we use your content only in a de-identified or anonymized form.

## Referral Earnings

Creators still own and may publish and share the characters they create on redchat (see "You Own Your Creations" above). The way anyone — creator or not — earns money on redchat is through the Referral Program: when you share your invite link or a character link and someone you referred newly signs up and pays for redchat, you earn 30% of that referred person's payments for a full year (12 months) from their first payment. redchat also supports a family referral structure, described in the Referral Program terms. Earnings belong to whoever shared the link that brought in the referred user, regardless of who created any character involved.

Payouts are processed through adult-friendly payment processors that support adult content. redchat retains only the payout and tax/identity information required by law to run the program (see Privacy Policy). Where a referred user's payment is refunded, or successfully charged back under our Subscription & Refund Policy, the associated referral earnings may be reversed or deducted from your future payout.

Referral earnings are available only to accounts that comply with redchat's guidelines. An account actioned for a policy violation — in particular, any zero-tolerance violation described above — is ineligible for, and may forfeit, associated referral earnings.

## Privacy of Your Creations & Intimate Data

Chat logs generated by your characters and any AI-generated adult imagery associated with them are treated as sensitive personal data — whether the content belongs to you as creator or to the adult users who chat with your character (see Privacy Policy).

redchat does not sell this data and does not share it with advertising or analytics partners that prohibit adult content. Depending on your jurisdiction, you have rights under laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA, including rights to access, correct, and delete your data. Deletion of your account and your creations is handled as described in "Unpublish and Delete Really Mean It" above and in the Privacy Policy.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://powerfan-1.gitbook.io/redchat.app/policies/creator-ownership-content-policy.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
